MYSIA. Pergamon. Circa 166-67 BC. Cistophorus (Silver, 28 mm, 12.31 g, 1 h), circa 76-67. Cista mystica from which snake coils; around, ivy wreath with fruits. Rev. Two snakes coiled around a bow case; between the snake heads, ΠΑ above monogram of ΠΡΥ; to left, monogram of ΠΕΡΓ; to right, thyrsos entwined by a serpent. Kleiner, Hoard 46. Plankenhorn, Mysien, p. 132, 43 (this coin). SNG Copenhagen 438. SNG Paris 1749. Nicely toned. The obverse struck off center and from a worn die, otherwise, good very fine.
